Laser Induced Plasma Optical Emission Spectroscopy (LIBS acronym for Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy) is a fast, reproducible, and environmentally clean chemical analysis technique that uses a high-energy laser pulse to create a micro plasma on the surface of the sample and determine their chemical and physical composition for a wide variety of samples in different physical states of matter.
